he Northwestern State University of Louisiana Demon basketball team is coming back in the Southland Conference games with one fourth of eight teams and a 7-16 record.

The Northwestern State University of Louisiana Demon basketball team is coming back in the Southland Conference games with one fourth of eight teams and a 7-16 record. Currently, the men’s basketball team has three straight wins. In total, the men have made 71.1 points so far this season.

There are three players who have played 22 games which are LaTerrancce Reed, Cedric Garret and Zurabi Zhgenti. Reed has a record of 20.3 minutes, Garret 21.5 minutes and Zhgenti has 19.6 minutes total. Leading the team with the most turnovers, blocks, rebounds, points and steals is Kendal Coleman. Coleman has an average of 2.1 turnovers, 1.2 steals, 14.9 points and 9.3 rebounds.

The player with the most assists is Brain White with 3.7 assists. There is only one player who has a 100 percen 3-point field goal percentage which is Larry Owens.

On Sat., Jan. 29, the Northwestern Demons and the Texas A&M at Corpus Christi Islanders ended with the Demons with a 90-76 win. Carvell Teasett made 10 points in the remaining five minutes with a total of twenty-seven points the whole game which is a high for him.

The Demons had the lead for the game with the Islanders trying to catch up but ultimately not making it.
The Sharp Gymnasium in Huston held the third win streak for the Demons on Feb. 3 with a 97-87. In the second half of the game, the team in the lead changed 7 times. This will be the first time this season that the Demons had multiple 20 point scorers.
