This week, Demons Support Demons is taking a stand against sexual assault by hosting the It’s On Us Week of Action.
Though the Slut Walk, Speed Dating and Quiz on the Street have already passed, there are still two opportunities left to participate in this week’s initiative.
DSD will have a table Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Student Union with free items and a pledge to be proactive in ending sexual assault. Later that evening, the Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance and Pride will host a Queer Prom in the Student Union Ballroom from 7:30 – 10 p.m. Tickets are $10 with all proceeds going to BreakOUT!, a charity that aims to support LGBTQ youth in New Orleans.
Membership in DSD is open to all NSU students. The next meeting is Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. on the third floor of the Student Union.
“I’ve seen Demons Support Demons truly change the way students view consent and accountability, and I want to do more to find out what else we can accomplish,” DSD President Ashlyn Guidry said.
