The first week of school seemed to fly by at Northwestern State University of Louisiana and campus is buzzing with freshmen trying to adjust to college life.
“It’s been good. It’s kind of like high school, just more people,” Jennifer Williams, a freshman nursing major, said.
The semester is now in full swing and new students are seeming to fit right in
As the semester advances, students are settling into their routines and their places on campus.
Now that freshmen are becoming more comfortable at their home away from home, there’s one thing Lynsey Plunkett noticed she has now that she didn’t quite have in high school.
“There was definitely a lack of freedom that I had in high school and now that I have that freedom I would like to say a lot has changed but nothing has changed,” Plunkett, freshman secondary education major, said. “It wasn’t too hard for me but I know it can be difficult for a lot of people.”
Freedom comes with great responsibility. Remember to manage time wisely, always go to class and find time to unwind throughout the day.
