The College of Arts and Sciences at Northwestern State University is located on Natchitoches’ campus and includes Performing Arts, Creative Arts, English, Languages, Cultural Studies, General Studies, STEM and Social Sciences. It is the largest college at NSU and the most diverse, as it encompasses many different studies.
Mark Melder graduated from NSU in 1994 and has worked in the College of Arts and Sciences since 2004. “I have always been curious about how the world worked, how our history and biography shaped us and our interactions with others and how these factors had an impact on societies,” Melder said.
Thomas Reynolds has worked with NSU in the English field since the fall of 2000. “The College of Arts and Sciences is a great place to work. We work hard to make the college a place where our students, faculty, and staff can find the support that they need to achieve their academic and life goals,” Reynolds said.
The College of Arts and Sciences has something to offer almost every student at NSU, its diverse classes and fields of study are perfect for students of any major and interest.
