President Tre Nelson began the meeting with a few finals words regarding the semester before giving his report.
“We’ve entered the final downhill,” Nelson said. “It’s been a really good semester of SGA, [and] I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it.”
There will be no SGA meeting Nov. 27 due to the SGA Christmas Party Nov. 29; a venue has not yet been selected.
Leadership NSU has been scheduled for Jan. 26-27, 2018. The planning committee met Nov. 14 to discuss details.
Late Night Breakfast will be held on “dead day” Dec. 4 in Iberville Dining Hall. Final exams begin Dec. 5.
Leadership Luncheon will be held in the President’s Room on Nov. 16, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. It is open to all students and meant to introduce NSU leadership to the student body. Jambalaya and meat pies will be served.
Tau Kappa Epsilon will hold a Cane’s sponsor night Nov. 15 to raise money for St. Jude. President Lajarious Jones will shave his head if $450 is raised.
Kappa Sigma is selling $2 raffle tickets to benefit fallen police officers in the Lafayette and New Orleans areas. The raffle prize is a 45-quart Yeti cooler.
The Current Sauce will host Puppies & Papers Nov. 28 from 2-4 p.m. in the Alumni Plaza.
