SGA Minutes | Senate discusses Maggio Investiture

Investiture celebrations will begin Thursday, Sept. 14 with the pep rally and concert featuring The Molly Ringwalds. The events will be held at the Tailgate Field and Collins Pavilion starting at 7:30 p.m.

Classes may or may not be canceled Sept. 15 for the Investiture; it is up to professors’ discretion. SGA President Tre Nelson said the university originally intended to cancel classes but discontinued the plan due to campus closures from Hurricane Harvey.

NSU has an all-time high enrollment of 10,572 students; in 2004, the total enrollment was 10,400 students.

Coffee with Conine will be held Sept. 14 at 8 a.m. on the Keyser Brickway.

Sen. Thomas Celles spoke about student concerns regarding parking on campus. In reply, Sen. Aly Jacobs said students should keep in mind NSU’s parking situation compared to other schools. “It could be much worse,” she said.
