Ellen Wells is a junior art major with a focus in studio art. She has worked at Dark Woods Haunted Attraction for four years.

“I’m a scare actor so I scare people, but every now and then I go out to the haunt and help prep for the next time the haunt opens,” she said.

To Wells, the scariest part of Dark Woods is the trail, all because of the actors’ dedication to scaring patrons.

Wells found out about Dark Woods on Facebook. She heard it was fun and enjoys the free meals.

Her favorite part of Halloween is the costumes.

“Scary stuff isn’t seen as weird for a time being,” she said.

On Halloween night, the community can expect full power from the crew.

“The entire crew amps up the crazy, the creepy and the carnage,” she said.

Wells says that Dark Woods Haunted Attraction brings entertainment to Natchitoches. Dark Woods Haunted Attraction is located at 4343 University Parkway.

Students can come and experience Dark Woods on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Saturday is the last night this haunted attraction is open this season. Ticket prices may vary. Check out darkwoodshaut.com for more information.
