Maria Camila Lopez, The Current Sauce – Community Outreach Coordinator
María Camila López is a senior undergraduate student in Social Communication at the University of Cartagena and in New Media, Journalism & Communication Arts at Northwestern State University of Louisiana, as part of a dual degree program, with a concentration in strategic communication. Her professional experience includes work with the Cartagena District Planning Department, where she supports press and digital communications through social media content, scriptwriting, video production and press releases. She also has broadcast production experience as a camera operator for ESPN+ through university-led athletics coverage. She is passionate about journalism, strategic communication and community engagement, and is committed to amplifying student voices through inclusive and impactful storytelling.
