SGA filings are now open

The Student Government Association at the Northwestern State of Louisiana resumed its first weekly meeting after the spring break.

On March 28, the Student Government Association at Northwestern State University of Louisiana President Tja’h Edwards announced that SGA filings are open until April 8th, and elections will be held from April 13 at 8 a.m. to April 14 at 8 a.m.

Edwards reported that V.L. Roy Service Day will be held on April 22.

Edits were made to the Concert Fee Guidelines. A reduction was made from 70 percent to 50 percent, in order to renovate the Seven Oaks Stage.

In response to Senator Ebenezer Aggrey’s comment on the on-campus police situation, Edwards announced that she will try to have an open forum with the on-campus police.

Commissioner Juliana Lummus announced Zachary Cooper as senator of the week.

Commissioner Nicholas Cooksey encouraged students to participate in Greek week.
